... a progressive and growing community located in the heart of central Wisconsin, ready to meet the challenges of today and honoring our heritage. The friendly members of the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce invite you to look us over.

Abbotsford — Home of the Christmas Parade
At 7:30 p.m. on the first Saturday in December, Abbotsford becomes "Storybook Land" as the annual Christmas parade unfolds on Main Street. The night time parade features favorite cartoon, fantasy and storybook characters, lighted floats, clowns, and Puff The Magic Dragon. Hundreds of volunteers are needed to carry off this event and the entire community gets involved in one way or the other.

The parade is supported entirely by donations from the community and does not allow commercialization to detract from this Christmas "gift" to everyone in the Central Wisconsin area. Despite the sometimes freezing weather, the parade draws thousands of spectators annually.

City Beautification Project
The Chamber of Commerce contributed $500 of funds to the City of Abbotsford for the City Beautification project. This project began in 2003 with placing hanging flowers, whiskey barrels of flowers, and new City banners throughout the city. The first year of this project was a huge success and the City is excited to continue this project. The City has budgeted $2,000 of funds toward this project and is looking for the community to share in the cost of beautifying the City. Donations can be made to the City of Abbotsford. All donations to the City of Abbotsford are tax deductible.

We have a lot to offer...Over 130 businesses provide a wide variety of services and employment opportunities. The school district offers a well-balanced curriculum with modern classrooms and technical facilities. We have a library, bowling center, softball and baseball diamonds, parks, movie theater, restaurants, golf driving range, swimming pool, and tennis courts within the city and other recreational opportunities nearby.

And we're ready...The recently completed four-lane Hwy. 29 has opened up a whole new challenge for the community. We welcome the new business it has created and look forward to growing with the opportunities it presents.

Enjoy...We hope you will find time to explore our community and discover it's treasures, from antique shops to industry, you can find it in Abbotsford.
